YouTube Launches New ‘Hype’ Options, Members-Only Content Filters
YouTube launches new ‘Hype’ options and members-only content filters, helping creators boost engagement, reward loyal fans, and improve content discovery.
YouTube is enhancing its platform with new ways to spotlight emerging creators and improve content discovery for paying users.
Amplifying Creator Exposure Through “Hype” Sharing
The revamped YouTube Hype program now allows users who allocate Hype points to a video to further promote that clip by sharing it as a public post.

This post appears in both the community and the channel’s posts tab, providing extra visibility beyond just the original Hype boost.

As you can see in the example, with the new shareable posts feature, your support for creators gains additional amplification through your own channel presence.
New Hype Leaderboards Highlight Rising Talent
YouTube also introduced Hype leaderboards segmented by topic, such as gaming and beauty, enabling viewers to discover trending creators across various interests.
Currently, Hype is available only in select markets, (You can find full listing of regions where Hype is available here) but YouTube is expanding access steadily to offer more creators the spotlight.
While the feature is mobile-exclusive for now, YouTube plans to roll out Hype on desktop soon.
Member-Only and Public Content Filters Improve Channel Navigation
YouTube now offers two new filter options “Members only” and “Public” for videos, Shorts, and live streams in channel content tabs. This addition supplements the existing filters “Latest,” “Popular,” and “Oldest.”

As YouTube explains:
“The members filter helps members quickly find the content they’ve purchased, and the public filter displays only public content, excluding members-only content, allowing all viewers to easily browse content they have access to.”
