The awards show, featuring live performances, and a red carpet in addition to an “in-person” audience of hundreds of creators, is set for Dec. 18 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

Voting Begins Today in 14 Categories

According to TikTok:

“The TikTok Awards ceremony will be presented in front of a live audience of hundreds of creators, complete with a red carpet livestream welcoming arrivals fresh from their GRWMs at 5pm. The show will begin LIVE on TikTok at 6pm PT and on Tubi, the official streaming partner of the TikTok Awards 2025.”

The awards will be streamed live on the TikTok app and Tubi, its official streaming partner, at 6 PM PT on Friday, December 18. For anyone who cannot make the live show, they will be able to watch it on demand exclusively on Tubi the next day.

TikTok says that the awards will:

“Serve to champion the most memorable videos, the creative innovators, the breakthrough artists, and our community’s favorite storytellers.”

Key Nominees Show TikTok’s Wide Appeal

The nominated rosters comprise a varied collection of people from creators to artists with an indelible cultural impact. The awards cover 14 different categories, showcasing creators’ ingenuity and impact on culture. These include:

Strategic Significance Amid Regulatory Pressures

The launch of the new awards comes just as TikTok is campaigning against one such bill, “Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Technology Act,” which would ban the app in the U.S. unless it can be sold to U.S.-based owners.

With features like the latest work of celebrities and popular creators, as well as viral video trends that highlight how what we watch on TikTok is driving culture across entertainment, music, food, fashion and more.

In addition to all those TikTok viewers tuning in to channels sharing ideas about public policy, TikTok will be making clear the ways it contributes culturally and economically when trying to secure a future out of ongoing negotiations.

Final Thoughts

The U.S. TikTok Awards provide an opportunity to not only award these creators and viral moments but also drive increased user involvement and cement TikTok’s cultural relevance even further. It’s a strategic play to shore up the app’s relevance and reach among American audiences and stakeholders.
