Perplexity’s Discover pages reveal that the real SEO success today is measured by the quality of the content rather than just keywords.

Pages that are found using Perplexity are often considered to be the most efficient instances of programmatic SEO; however, they are actually a much more extensive and broad method. While they are often portrayed in popular forums as a way to rank web pages, they are specifically created to be used by the users and are not intended to be used for SEO.

Perplexity Discover feed provides data that is trending on a particular topic, providing brief summaries as well as hyperlinks to the full article, as well as the original content.

A majority of commenters praised Perplexity’s approach of declaring the site “bold” and “clever,” however, there were some reservations regarding Google potentially penalizing websites due to the absence of interest or content.

Although some were thrilled, there were also some who predicted that “Google won’t allow this trend…” and that “Google will nerf it in a few weeks…”

The overall sentiment toward Perplexity’s pages was positive, with many praising it as excellent programmatic SEO. However, the irony is that Perplexity itself is not actually doing any SEO.
