Google AI Mode Launches Agentic Booking in Search Labs
Google AI Mode launches agentic booking in Search Labs, allowing users to complete reservations and tasks directly through conversational search.
Google has begun rolling out new agentic booking features within its AI Mode as part of a Search Labs experiment available to select U.S. users. This update allows AI Mode to search for and book restaurant reservations, event tickets, and wellness appointments across multiple websites in real time.
Robby Stein, Google Search’s VP of Product, announced the rollout on X, noting that the feature is still experimental and not yet widely available.
What Users Can Expect
AI Mode now offers multi-site searching in three booking categories, presenting curated options with available time slots or ticket prices. U.S. users accessing the feature in Search Labs see the following capabilities:
Restaurant Reservations
Users can specify party size, time, neighborhood, or cuisine.
Google example can be:
“find me a dinner reservation for 3 people this Friday after 6pm around Logan Square. craving ramen or bibimbap.”
Reservations show available times with direct booking links.
Event Tickets
Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers can find concert or event tickets filtered by price and seating preferences. For example
“find me 2 cheap tickets for the Shaboozey concert coming up. prefer standing floor tickets.”
Wellness Appointments
Also for Pro and Ultra users, AI Mode surfaces real-time availability from local service booking platforms and links directly to appointment scheduling.
How Agentic Booking Works
AI Mode aggregates data from multiple websites to show up-to-date availability. It then offers a curated list of options with direct links to providers’ booking pages, where users complete the actual reservation or purchase.

Requirements for Access
To access full functionality, users must meet these criteria:
- Personal Google Account with self-management
- Web & App Activity enabled
- Search Labs access
- Location set to the U.S. and language to English
- Age 18 or older
These requirements are detailed on the experiment page.
Why This Development Matters
By streamlining discovery and comparison of booking options into a single AI-powered query, Google AI Mode reduces friction for users seeking restaurants, events, or wellness services.
While transactions still finalize on the provider’s site, this integration cuts down the time and effort typically required to shop across platforms.
Looking Forward
Google describes this as an early-stage experiment that may still produce errors. User feedback is encouraged to refine the feature. The rollout will expand gradually, making agentic booking available to more users in the coming weeks.
